前に Peter Green について書い・・・・・てた Fleetwood Mac についてだった。 というくらいの話なんで関連作をてんこ盛りに持っているわけではありませんからあしからずなんですけれども、ソロ１作めと２作めは聴いています。 そのバンドを脱退後にジャムった内容を編集しただかでリリースした（1970年）１作めは未だに好きになれず、それが尾を引いているような気がしないでもありません。
ただ、療養を経てカムバックした２作め、それがこの In Te Skies で、これが段違いにいい内容だから人生捨てたもんじゃありません。 派手さはない、というかひたすら地味なんですけれども、それがかえって味わい深い。 いろいろあってこうなりました、みたいな背景的なものを知らなんでもじゅうぶんに聴ける内容。
Digitally remastered edition of the British guitarist’s 1979 album. Green is best known as being one of Britain’s finest Blues guitarists as well as forming and fronting the first Fleetwood Mac line-up in the late ’60s. In the Skies was Green’s second solo album, coming eight years after his first solo release. Accompanying Green on this album were several experienced session musicians, including Snowy White, who went on to work with Pink Floyd before joining Thin Lizzy.
