最初は Amy Winehouse で、Our day will come という曲をカバーしているのを聴いて、この著名な曲は他に誰がカバーしてんだろうと調べてみたら出るわ出るわで、Carpenters の次にびっくりしたのが Dionne Warwick だったという経緯。
Dionne Warwick といえば Hal David / Burt Bacharach チームの曲をたっっっくさん歌ってることで有名ですし、ちょっとまえに延々と聴いてしまっていた That’s What Friends Are For でも有名ですしおすしって、そんなこんななんではありますけど、その長いキャリアではいろんな曲を歌ってるっていうことで、なんか膨大に収録されているベストを買うのがいいよねっていう話なんであります。
あまりに有名すぎてアレなんですけど、いい曲はいいですやっぱり。
